The landlord.
This client recently bought a house to rent out and needed to update the kitchen quickly without making any architectural changes. Since this was for a rental, the priority for the new design was layout and simplicity. The existing finishes were dull and the layout was inefficient in the original space. To create a more efficient design, we moved the refrigerator into the kitchen and added a pantry to the hall for extra storage. With the doorway between the two spaces, the original range placement didn’t leave much space for circulation. The solution we came up with opened it up and allowed for a perfect spot for a trash can or dog dish for the future renters. To finish off the new design, the classic white subway tile and shaker cabinets complimented the new hardwood floors and black leathered granite.
